Take a different view

Today’s blog is in correlation to yesterday’s blog post. Yesterday I discussed attachment styles, and how a parent identifying their attachment style can assist in their parenting, because their child will typically have the same attachment style.

In conjunction with looking at oneself as a parent, I wanted to give you another resource along those lines. A great book, “Parenting from the Inside Out” by Daniel Siegel and Mary Hartzell, addresses understanding oneself. The authors examine how a parent’s own life experiences and relationships affect their own parenting.

A wonderful book that involves a great deal of self-reflection! It should be a must read for every parent!
