Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder

Each year there are many cases reported around the world of children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). In the adoption realm, children with FASD are many times undiagnosed at the time of their adoptive placement. The majority of adoptive parents (and parents in general) are not knowledgable about FASD. It is important to understand the Disorder and be able to recognize symptoms. Please take a few minutes to view the following video, produced by the University of Chicago, on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders.
