Adoption Tax Credit Information

One of the greatest financial resources for adoptive families is the Adoption Tax Credit. This credit is available for a family to file the year after they finalize their adoption. So, for example, if you finalized your adoption in 2012, then this year you would file for the Adoption Tax Credit. If you would like more information on the Adoption Tax Credit and the current regulations regarding the credit, I would urge you to complete the free webinar through Adoption Learning Partners. Here is a link to this webinar: http://www.adoptionlearningpartners.org/catalog/courses/adoption-tax-credit.cfm

All of that being said, in order to apply for the Adoption Tax Credit, you must have all of your receipts or proof of payment from your adoption process. If your family will be filing for the Adoption Tax Credit this year, and you are in need of copies of your payments or receipts, please contact our offices at adopt@icmfamily.org. Please do so as soon as possible so that your tax filing is not held up in any way.

God bless!
